Hannah Marijuana - Miley's at it again!

Following her controversial MTV Video Music Awards; Miley has once again caught the worlds attention at this year European Music Awards hosted by MTV in Amsterdam. The Songstress performed in a metallic silver midi-dress accompanied by a female dwarf dressed in a Latex cat-suit to the hit "We Can't Stop". Following the performance, Cyrus won a prestigious EMA for Best Video, for "Wrecking Ball" and it is here where Miley once again stole the show.

"I want to thank my fans, my 'Smilers', for making this happen." Miley continued, "and Terry Richardson for putting this together. You know I couldn't fit this award in my bag, but I did find this (Miley pulls out a suspicious looking cigarette) so thank you guys very much. Good night everybody, thank you. EMA's for having me, I love you so much!"

Due to the EMA's being held in Amsterdam, one would have thought that what Miley had displayed would indeed be a joint. Marijuana is not illegal in Amsterdam so could Miley have been playing on this to shock the audience? Once again many argue the greatest shock factor comes from Miley's past in which she played Disney's pop princess Hannah Montana. However, every artist grows and changes, Hannah Montana ended many years ago and Miley is trying to re-invent herself.

Personally, I feel Miley is incredibly talented and in terms for free press, she is doing a great job! I don't feel her performance or the way she accepted her award was anymore shocking than what one of her contemporary's would have done. I love Miley and think she is a smart girl, people need to stop worrying, I think she knows exactly what she's doing and she's having fun doing it!

THAT XFactor performance

Once again Lady Gaga has dominated nearly every media outlet with her garish performance on last nights XFactor live show. If you didn't catch the songstresses original performance then I highly recommend you check it out NOW! (see link below!)

Performing a mash-up of 'Venus' and 'Do What You Want' from her upcoming album 'Artpop', Gaga stole the show and captured the worlds attention. The performance started with an acoustic twist however the performance quickly escalating into the electronic dance number as Gaga was joined by an array of dancers. After Lady Gaga has performed a couple of minutes of 'Venus' she Transformed form her Venus De Milo inspired look; done in true Gaga style she peeled of her wig in a theatrical manner to reveal a brunette bob. Not only did the pop-dive share her undeniable vocal ability with the audience but she also expressed her diversity as a performer and writer when she took to the piano and belted out 'Do What You Want'.



Receiving a standing ovation from the audience and judges, Lady Gaga was then quizzed on her relationship with judge Sharon Osborne. Unrelated to Gaga's professional life or even her performance, the songstress graciously voiced her admiration for Mrs Osborne. For those of you who don't know about the rocky history of this formidable pair let me fill you in. Sharon's daughter, Kelly, stars on a show in the US, 'Fashion Police'. Kelly accused Gaga of hiding a pregnancy due to Lady Gaga's latest creative outfit being none other than a burqa. Feeling protective, hundreds of Gaga's fans took to twitter to voice their anger and the fashion commentators statement. Kelly then accused Lady Gaga of being a 'hypocrite' feeling she claims to promote anti-bullying, yet allows her fans to address her in such a malicious way. I cant help but feel Kelly began the whole feud? In addition, how is Lady Gaga meant to monitor tens of millions of fans, an impossible task!

None the less, Kelly, who initiated the feud, seems to be stubborn enough to continue it. After Gaga presented Sharon Osborne with a cake addressed to Kelly, Kelly then took to her twitter to destroy Gaga's attempts to bury the hatchet tweeting... "Not to be ungrateful but why would you send me a birthday cake via my MOTHER in a country half the world away? #JustSendItToME #LoveNotWar" then taking to her Instagram account with a picture of the cake branded with the caption "#EatMyShit #Hypocrisy" Clearly on a rampage, Kelly further tweeted "StefaniStopIt!. You are so far behind you think you are first! I live for a Cause not for the #Applause!!!!!" A little bit harsh? Do you agree?

Nonetheless while Kelly expressed her dislike for Gaga, Gaga replied, tweeting "I didn't know it was your B-day until this afternoon. Meant as a peace offering. Happy Birthday." Never far behind 'Mother Monster' are her devoted and loyal fans, the 'Little Monsters' who then targeted Miss Osborne, however Lady Gaga abruptly put an end to the hateful messages being sent, tweeting "Monsters, please just focus on the positive of tonight's performance and do not send any hateful messages. I don't support it. #SpreadLove"

But, lets not let Kelly's tantrum distract us from the phenomenal performance Gaga put on in London last night. Once again she has shown a different side, reinforcing our beliefs of her undeniable talent! For those of you who didn't know, Gaga writes every single one of her own songs as well as songs for other beloved songstresses like Britney Spears. She also co-produces each song and album she releases, but with 'Venus' she produced the whole record. If that's not enough talent for you, she sings LIVE! - Yes I am Gaga bashing right now; regardless if you think she is different, focus on the music. That's the important thing!

Because you're worth it...pet!

Whenever there is drama, Cheryl Cole is never far behind. This was the case when rumours surfaced that L'Oreal were considering dropping the Geordie beauty after her extravagant tattoo. The rumours came about after Cheryl had ditched L'Oreal's hair colour campaign for their new natural skin care range, but many noticed the pop stars tattoo was anything but natural. It was this contrast in what she was representing to what she had done that sparked the question, Would Cheryl Cole lose her £500,000 per year endorsement with the brand.

However, do NOT fear Cheryl or her fans, L'Oreal have squashed these rumours stating that are not getting rid of Cheryl. In all honesty ditching the popular Geordie would be a huge mistake for the brand. It was reported that when Chezza dyed her hair that infamous red, mahogany hair dye sales increased a whopping 114%, similarly when Miss Cole swapped her long brunette locks for a dark-blonde long-bob, blonde hair dye sales increased a further 50%. This shows the publics fascination with how Cheryl looks and how people will imitate the songstresses style. surely this is something L'Oreal do not want to lose.



As I have previously voiced, I love Cheryl's tattoo and let be real... What Cheryl has tattooed on her backside has nothing to do with a facial skin care endorsement, looking good pet!

Lade Gaga like you've never seen her before!

On Sunday, September 1st 2013 Lady Gaga headlined ITunes festival in London, of course her show consisted of numerous costume changes but not as you would have expected. Gaga transformed from Burqa/ninja inspired look to a mermaid-like costume , however the greatest shock came when she removed the costume, the wigs to reveal her natural self, or as she put it "The human underneath the wigs".

in the emotional performance gaga told the audience "So, when I wrote the next song, it was one of the hardest things that I did because everyone always goes on about the clothes right and all the make-up and the wigs and why does she always cover up, so I decided I would use this opportunity to tell you why...because the whole world is watching, and what I wanted you to know is that like some of you, which is why I wrote born this way, I cared not for success, I cared not that people liked it, I cared only about that even just one person that It might touch. I was willing and will always be willing to risk it all for what I believe in so here I am... the human underneath the wigs. This is my real hair!" Gaga continued "I went through some really tough times, and tough times that I've never really talked about because I didn't fell that I needed to use it for people to like my music and I wont tell you exactly what is was now because I don't mean to be a downer really. But I'm telling you because in order to write ARTPOP I had to be willing to take of all the wigs and make-up I used to cover up the pain." the emotional outburst continued "I used them (the wig and make-up) for a long time to become different people so that when I woke up in the morning and I didn't feel strong enough to be me, I created someone else" "... but in order to become closer to you I knew I had to show you what was under all of this theatre so here I am." Gaga continues to explain how she wrote a song to relive herself from the pain, hoping it would relieve her fans from any pain they're suffering.

 

Gaga Performed 8 new songs from her upcoming album "ARTPOP" showing the world her amazing vocal abilities as she performed live! Not only did Lady gaga perform for a great number of her fans, but she also performed for none other than Adele. The British songstress later tweeted Gaga about her performance saying "@ladygaga mermaids for life! Brilliant as always thank you for a wonderful night! #MANiCUREisthebest". Who would of thought it... Adele is a little monster!

 The performance was original, innovative and I wouldn't expect any less from Lady Gaga! We got a glimpse of the real woman behind the theatre. AMAZING show!

The X-Factor returns!

The Christmas countdown has begun! The X-factor is back, with a new judging panel, however I can't help but feel the hit show has actually lost its X-Factor... Ironically! Since the departures of the beautiful Cheryl Cole and the iconic music mogul that is Simon Cowell, my obsession with the show has since faded.

The judging Line up is just the same as it always has been, a successful national icon, Gary Barlow, a gorgeous but half talented female judge, Nicole Scherzinger, an older opinionated woman, Sharon Osborne and of course Louis Walsh. I'm not saying I wont watch the show, because I know I will, I will most likely blog about the contestants and the forthcoming final! But I just feel the show still has that same platform, the only thing different about this year other than the judges is they have got rid of the live audience. The producers need to do something to spice the show up, younger more controversial judges, anything just to revamp the show, make it exciting again!

The L.A complex

Everyone has something they would like to change about their physical appearance, whether it is to be thinner, to have whiter teeth or to be taller, something I call the L.A complex - the pursuit for physical perfection. Though the world is suffering from an economic recession, the amount of elective surgeries has not slowed down. With the amount of negative media coverage regarding cosmetic surgeries and its backlash, I wanted to comment on the extreme lengths that people put themselves through to achieve their ideal body.

One of the most renowned celebrities to undergo the cosmetic knife is none other than Heidi Montag. Most famous for her role on MTV's hit reality T.V show, "The Hills", Montag famously underwent a record breaking 10 cosmetic surgeries in one day back in 2010, only ages 23!

Montag underwent; a mini brow lift, Botox in her forehead and frown area, nose job revision, fat injections in her cheeks, nasolabial folds and cheeks, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on her waist, hips, inner and outer thigh and a buttocks enlargement procedure.


In an interview with Access Hollywood Live, Montag was questioned on her quest to achieve her perfect body. Asked by the shows presenters if she had any regrets, Montag confidently responded "I would never do it again and I would never recommend it for anyone. I was defiantly in way over my head but I'm glad it worked out." One of the shows presenters then questioned as to why Montag had so many elective surgery's in one day, asking "did you (Montag) go in for one thing (procedure) and was the doctor like "well we could also when your under do a little bit of this..." to which Montag replied "well my nose was broken so I had to get that redone...and then it got a little out of hand" Montag's doctor influenced a naïve Heidi to have more cosmetic surgeries than she had originally planned, this was a case of complete professional negligence. Due to the amount of procedures in one day, Heidi, aged 23 at the time almost died! Was it all worth it?



Unaware of the emotional and physical repercussions, Montag was left to deal with the critical media backlash on her own when her doctor sadly committed suicide. When asked if she has had any other work done since the original 10 procedures Montag replied "No I haven't done anything...I just focus on being just healthy, alive and strong and I think that's really important and who you are inside. If your not beautiful inside it really doesn't matter what you look like outside."

I personally feel Heidi looks great! Maybe an unpopular opinion but the reasons as to why people have elective surgery really isn't anyone else's business. If it makes you happy, then go for it!

LADY DRAMA!

Gaga defends One Direction boys after alleged VMAS booing.

The drama begun unfolding when the boy band collected their VMA award for "Best Song of the Summer" and were allegedly booed by the VMA crowd. It was this that stuck a nerve in Gaga who was seen on cameras asking her friend "Are people booing them?" Mother monster then gazed in horror as the band were further disrespected when collected their award. Shaking her head, the songstress was reportedly heard saying “I want to leave right now”.


Lady Gaga, who remained in her performance outfit, a mermaid inspired look made up of a shell bra and matching bottoms, then left her seat to find the 1D lads. It is at this point that the boy band were recording their thank-you speech for the "directioners" (The one direction fans) when Lady Gaga shouted "You guys were awesome!" Gaga was then  heard giving the guys some advice "I don't know if you heard it, but if I heard what I heard out there, I just want to tell you that you deserve every bit of success that you have. And don't you dare let those people boo you and I put that booing in my own show, because I wanted to make a comment about that...I want to leave right now”. YOU GO GAGA!

One Direction responded to the comfort given by Gaga saying "...its OK, thank you so much" The pop diva then posed for a photo with the worlds biggest boy band as they all seemed to forget about the harsh crowd from moments before. With so many celebrities under one roof how could there not be any drama?
